Let’s talk soggy sweet potato fries. Is there anything more disappointing than a soggy fry? Ok probably but let’s stay focused here. Do you try to make them and they just end up steaming rather than crisping? Sweet potato fries are so hard to get right. If they are too close together, they will just steam. The oven temperature needs to be high but not too high. They cook much faster than regular potatoes so you have to keep an eye on them as they can easily burn. Sound stressful? Maybe you’ve avoided making them in past but not anymore! I guarantee that if you follow my recipe you will have crispy sweet potato fries every time.
These are a perfect side to any dinner but I usually make them to go with these yummy Blue Cheese Kale Burgers. I also like to serve my sweet potato fries with a spicy mayo dip. The creamy spicy mayo plays so nicely with the sweetness of the potato.
The beauty of these fries is that they can be a side or they can be a main dish! There are lots of different ways to jazz them up – like these sweet potato nachos. I will definitely be giving these a go soon!
